ASIS Military RIB Bluebird Boat combines high performance and latest advanced systems for every mission profile

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 22nd of February 2015: UAE based company, ASIS Boats – one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of rigid inflatable boats, has unveiled its newest design model called the “Bluebird” at NAVDEX, the region’s most important naval and maritime security exhibition. With its unique, high-endurance, high-performance capabilities, the Bluebird is the world’s most advanced military rigid hull inflatable boat. The Military RIB Bluebird can be purposefully disguised and coloured to appear as a civilian/recreational vessel thus providing tactical advantage when needed.

The 9.5-meter Military RIB, powered by twin 350-hp outboard engines, is capable of speeds up to 65 MPH (105km/h/h), even in choppy waters, and combines the latest advances in maritime shock mitigation, including a three-axis fully shock-mitigated console housing the operator seats and all equipment. The 9.5-meter Military RIB’s console design maximizes comfort and minimizes crew fatigue. Exceptional in performance thanks to its unique design, the Bluebird is nevertheless extremely easy to manoeuvre both on the open water and in close quarters, and it is also impressively fuel-efficient.

Equipped with a state-of-the-art headset wireless communications system that cancels intrusive, fatigue-inducing wind and engine noise, enables full communication between crew and passengers, and is fully integrated with both the marine VHF and tactical radio systems. Some of the many available options and features include: a Cool Suit device that allows passengers to stay cool despite being in an open air environment – an added benefit in Middle Eastern climates; bullet proofing, bullet resistant glass, gyro-stabilized thermal camera, and multiple crew-serve weapon pedestals, supporting heavy machine guns and grenade launchers.
