ASIS Boats Delivers New RIBs And Training
RIB Boats delivery and training to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF)
ASIS Boats recently completed new RIB Boats delivery and training for the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) at their facilities located in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of the Sultanate of Brunei. The RBPF received mission-specific, fully equipped latest model 9.5 meter RHIB’s for their tactical team.
The bespoke 9.5-meter new RIB Boats are purpose-built black-on-black boats that will expand the capability of the RBPF Mariners in ensuring maritime security.
RBPF Mariners are trained extensively in craft and weapon tactics, techniques, and procedures. Focusing on clandestine infiltration and exfiltration and other special operations forces, ASIS boats provide dedicated, rapid mobility in shallow water areas where large ships cannot operate.
Aside from the standard outfittings, these new RIB Boats are equipped with the latest high-tech electronics and navigational equipments, including but not limited to FLIR infrared night vision system, Furuno radar and GPS, David Clark wireless communication system with active noise cancellation, not to mention the whelen police lights and the public announcement system, the marine VHF radio, etc.
In addition to the electronics and the life-saving equipment, such as the certified life jackets, a very important safety element was highlighted on the boats: these 9.5-meter new RIB Boats are outfitted with 10 Ullman shock-mitigating seats that serve to protect and prevent any injuries to the backbones of the policemen due to the high waves of the open sea. In the long term, these investments in the quality of the seats will save the government a huge amount of money in health benefits.
Mr. Salus (OCM Vice President and former Navy SEAL Commander) has given the Marine Police Force an intensive four-day training course both in the classroom and underway on the South China Sea to ensure the RBPF Mariners were fully comfortable with their new crafts.
